How to connect your domain

Three steps, one DNS record.

Add your domain in the dashboard
Open Custom Domains in your linkthe.app dashboard and enter the subdomain you want to use, for example links.yourbrand.com.

Create one CNAME record
In your domain registrar or DNS provider, add a CNAME record for that subdomain pointing at the target shown on the Custom Domains screen. Copy it exactly — a single typo is the most common reason verification fails.

Verify, then publish
Come back and trigger verification. We check your DNS, issue SSL, and start serving your bio link page on your own domain.

If verification fails

• DNS propagation takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours — wait, then retry before changing anything.
• Check the CNAME target character by character. Typos are the most common cause.
• Root domains such as yourbrand.com often cannot host a CNAME. Use a subdomain like links.yourbrand.com, or your provider's CNAME-flattening / ALIAS feature.

Can I use my root domain, like yourbrand.com?

Apex or root domains often cannot host a CNAME record. Use a subdomain such as links.yourbrand.com, or your DNS provider's CNAME-flattening / ALIAS feature if it has one.

How long does verification take?

DNS changes take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to propagate. If verification fails right after you add the record, wait a while and retry.

Do I get HTTPS on my custom domain?

Yes. Once your domain is verified, the page is served over SSL automatically — there is no certificate for you to buy or renew.

Does a custom domain remove linkthe.app branding?

Branding removal is a separate paid-plan setting. Turning both on gives you a page on your own domain with no linkthe.app watermark.

Can I point more than one domain at my pages?

Yes, add each domain in the Custom Domains area of the dashboard and verify it the same way.
